About me
Feeling overwhelmed; anxiety is on the rise; heart is continuously racing; having constant negative thoughts and your usual survival techniques are not working; then please, stop, pause and breathe.
These are signs that it may be a good time to seek help and if you are reading this right now, then you are already taking that first step.
As a qualified counsellor, I have experience working with a wide range of clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, burn out, stress and low self esteem.
Life is complex and sometimes you just cannot do it alone. This is where I hope to be able to help you find who you really are and your full potential.
Current position
I have my own private counselling practice working with clients of all ages to help and provide support covering a wide range of issues. This can include relationship breakdowns, bereavement, loss, miscarriages, sexual abuse, to mention a few.
Alongside my private practice, I work in a school setting where I counsel sixth form students supporting them through any mental health concerns, during their time in education and teachers who may be struggling with burnout or self confidence. I also work as a mentor with University students of all ages, supporting them with anxiety, stress and practical elements like organisation, planning and revision techniques.
How I work
I am a person centred therapist, but I like to also integrate other modalities to suit your personal needs as everyone is individual.
I offer a safe place for you to explore your emotions, feelings and behaviours ensuring at all times that I am practicing safely and ethically.
It is your space to bring whatever you feel where I will listen with patience and understanding.
You know yourself best and I will support you in building your own strategies to help you work through your own life challenges.
First steps
I offer in person counselling, online or by phone, whatever makes you feel more comfortable. I work from two designated spaces, a lovely location in Enfield town (EN1) and in the centre of Hertford town (SG14).
Working online can feel daunting, but from experience you can have the same results from in person. It has lots of benefits; like being able to choose a space that is more comfortable and convenient for you and no travel costs to consider.
If you just want to have a chat to understand more about counselling and find out whether I am the right fit for you, then please do not be afraid to contact me to arrange an initial 30 minute consultation.
Please know that there is never any pressure on my part and that you are in full control of any decision you make.
